Elaine Acree is a graduate of Jacksonville State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Digital Journalism. During her time at JSU, she honed her skills in content creation, writing, social media management, and multimedia design. As a contributor to The Chanticleer, JSU's student newspaper, she authored news and feature articles, supporting the university community while refining her craft.

Currently, Elaine serves as the Social Media & Digital Content Specialist at Valor Christian Academy, where she manages and creates content for the school’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. She develops and executes social media calendars and campaigns to boost engagement, produces photo montages and videos to inform and engage stakeholders, and monitors platform metrics to optimize outreach. Additionally, she writes, edits, and proofreads various publications such as articles, brochures, and school communications. Elaine designs and publishes content using tools like Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, MailChimp, and Google tools. She also co-manages the school’s web-based communication system, provides training, and supports event planning and community relations, ensuring confidentiality and inclusivity in all activities.

Elaine’s passion for social media and content creation was first sparked during her communication courses at JSU. She collaborated with the English Department and Disability Support Services on multimedia projects, including Instagram posts, flyers, and tutorial guides. She also worked with Venecia’s Foundation, a local nonprofit organization, to update its branding, co-creating a style guide with her classmates.

Beyond her academic pursuits, Elaine was an active member of the Marching Southerners Color Guard, serving on the flag line for four years and as Social Media Chair for the 2023-2024 season. In this leadership role, she managed the color guard’s Instagram and Facebook pages, created content using Canva, and implemented a Linktree to organize key resources. Her experience in both academic and professional settings demonstrates her ability to manage complex projects, engage diverse audiences, and create impactful content.
